Kerry X. Yañez

Kerry X. Yañez has practiced law primarily in the areas of criminal defense, personal injury and family law in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, and surrounding areas since becoming licensed in 1996. He speaks fluent Spanish and takes pride in representing his fellow Latinos as well as people of all backgrounds. Kerry has dedicated his efforts to represent and advise thousands of individuals in his past positions as an associate attorney for Fort Worth law firms Ross & Matthews, P.C., and The Dunham Law Firm, P.C., and as a sole practitioner before forming YAÑEZ | McGEE | KUHNER, P.C. with Brandon L. Kerry X. Yañez was a George Washington Carver Scholar for four years at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, where he graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with minors in Economics and History. Kerry received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Texas School of Law in 1996, and he was licensed to practice law in Texas that same year. In 2003, Kerry earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is a member of the Tarrant County Bar Association and the Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
